Fane Island is one of the Southern Gulf Islands' true little gems. Situated in the heart of British Columbia's famous southern Gulf Islands, Fane Island is located in the Navy Channel, just off the east coast of North Pender Island and only a 5 minute boat ride from Hope Bay, which boasts a community dock for easy access. With a high water land area of about 1.9 acres, the island feels much larger due to its gentle topography and the configuration of the man made harbour at its nothern tip with a pretty little sandy beach. The island had a beautiful native ground cover with some old growth trees and open vistas that offer a front row seat for watching seals, orca whales, bald eagles and playful river otters. The island is improved with a one room rustic cottage with propane fridge, rainwater collection, wood stove and a full septic system. There is also an older solar power system installed. The island has a foreshore lease for a private moorage located within the harbour. There is no dock or ramp at present but the foreshore lease permits the installation of a new dock.
